Upgrading the arches in Ranelagh Gardens
We are investing over £8m in our arches across the capital in 2026/27. And we’ve got big plans for Putney Bridge Arches, and those plans start with the five railway arches along Ranelagh Gardens.
The arches at Ranelagh Gardens are an opportunity unlike any other to unlock part of our estate that can really become a Place for Community.
Along the Riverbank
We have five arches at Ranelagh Gardens, and a substantial yard space with incredible views right out onto the River Thames. The arches sit beneath the District line that runs to Wimbledon, and with new frontages and improved access directly from the Thames Path, we can improve natural surveillance and security of the footpath and create a place for businesses for to thrive.
Proposals for the Community
Our designs have been submitted to Hammersmith & Fulham Council, and you can access them by searching for 2026/00249/FUL on the Council’s Planning Portal.
We are getting to know the area and the people that live and visit Ranelagh Gardens. Everything we’re told will help us as we look to create a Place for Community, from considering the types of businesses introduced to the area to making every kind of Londoner feel safe there.
