Our Three Skills Programmes
Places for London is a property company with a social conscious, and we want to make sure that Londoners feel the benefit of our activities. Our mission is simple: remove barriers, provide skills and support, and ensure London’s workforce represents the rich diversity of our city. We’ve designed three programmes to make sure Londoners get access to the opportunities created across our estate.
At Places for London, we’re addressing the critical skills gap that threatens London’s economic growth. The built environment sector faces acute shortages, with an ageing workforce and confusing entry routes that struggle to attract diverse talent.
Through our coordinated network of training hubs and innovative programmes, we’re creating direct pathways to apprenticeships, sustainable employment, and rewarding careers. We connect Londoners to real opportunities generated by our development pipeline and the businesses on our estate.
I started out thinking I’d just be labouring, but now I’m a hoist driver and I’ve got my sights set on becoming a crane operator, maybe even a site supervisor one day. The support I received made a huge difference.
