Help prepare young people to better understand how to access entry routes to our sector

In 2024, we partnered with Construction Youth Trust, an education charity specialising in fostering links between young people and built environment employers. Working with our joint venture partners Barratt London, Earls Court Development Company, Fastned, Grainger and Helical, we’ve developed a network of 20 secondary schools and colleges across London, targeted based on their proximity to Places for London developments and meeting demographic criteria.

Construction Youth Trust facilitate wide ranging interventions including employability skills workshops, work experience, coaching, assemblies and classroom activities. These activities are supported by volunteers from Places for London and its development partners and their supply-chain, with a view to helping young people progress into the built environment sector.
