Baker Street is home to London’s oldest Tube station, and it is steeped in history. It’s a destination that has evolved and become multi-experiential, and it attracts every kind of Londoner. We are proposing to create a new gateway to Marylebone, announcing your arrival to Baker Street with a new, vibrant public realm with access to shops, restaurants and leisure venues that will serve the local neighbourhood and visitors.
We will rediscover the lost gem that is Baker Street, with its unique historical, geographical and cultural identity unlike anywhere else in our city and set out a vision for its future as an exceptional place to live, work, study and visit. Our approach is community-led, creating a more inclusive, safer and greener neighbourhood.
More updates will follow in due course.
